RISTORANTE SAN MICHELE ALL’ARCO – HOW TO GET HERE
Florence historical center is restricted-traffic area (ZTL) for which access by car, road traffic and parking are governed by specific regulations. Non-resident vehicles are not allowed to enter, circulate and park within the ZTL on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 7.30am to 7.30pm and on Saturdays from 7.30am to 6.00pm. ZTL is demarcated by ‘access gates’ indicated by special signs and controlled by a telematic system recording traffic flow and all vehicles’ number plates. Access through some of the gates is forbidden 24/7: Via de’ Benci, Via Panzani, Via della Mattonaia, Via XXVII Aprile, Via la Marmora, Via Senese, Via della Scala, Stazione Santa Maria Novella.
We therefore recommend to park your car in one of the public car parks outside the ZTL during daytime and reach the restaurant on foot or by taxi.
Santa Maria Novella railway station is about 1.2 km from the restaurant.
Arco di San Pierino is a covered passage between Piazza San Pier Maggiore and Via dell’Oriuolo in Florence; it’s easily accessible on foot from anywhere in the historical center and is a 3 minutes walk from the Dome.
